Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM)

I’m deeply honoured to have been elected as an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Studying at the Academy as an undergraduate was pivotal for me - I learnt and gained so much from my tutors and fellow students. To be recognised for the things I've achieved in the 12 years since graduating (alongside so many other fantastic musicians) is both humbling and inspiring.

My clarinet tutor there, the irrepressible character that was Angela Malsbury, sadly passed away last month which makes the timing of this honour a touch poignant too.

I’m looking forward to the ceremony and celebrations in April. Meanwhile, I need to buy a new suit…
